More Information

Description

This decaf coffee has been decaffeinated using the sugarcane process, which has fast become our favourite method for decaffeinating coffee. It has incredible taste notes of chocolate and caramel, ensuring our non-caffeinated friends never have to compromise on flavour.

If you're into the nerd stuff (which we absolutely are), this decaffeination process utilises a natural by-product of sugarcanes known as ethyl acetate. The process uses the natural direct-solvent by first steaming the beans to open their pores, then rinse them in ethyl acetate repeatedly to remove the caffeine. Next the beans are dried but not completely, 10-12% humidity remains, and the open bean is sealed with natural wax that in no way affects the flavour, fragrance or aroma of the coffee.

How To Enjoy

No matter how you like to brew, we’ve got you covered.
This coffee is roasted to taste great however you make it - filter, espresso, or something in between. The roast
profile is developed to enhance the natural character andflavour from where it was grown and to highlight what makes this coffee special and unique.
